Katie joined the L. Harris team in 2013. In her role as Senior Advisor, she consults clients on their growth and transition strategies. Areas of focus include strategic planning, customer loyalty, exit planning, and transition services.

Katie’s approach involves always keeping in mind how a buyer would evaluate her client’s business. This helps to protect and promote business value for when it comes time for an owner to exit.

Summary of Experience

Katie has been serving business owners since 2008, when she began working in the area of merger and acquisition advisory. Katie provided sell-side and buy-side advisory, helping business owners transition out of their companies as well as assisting with growth by acquisition strategies.

While serving as Senior Associate at a Minneapolis investment banking firm, Katie advised businesses in the lower end of the middle market. She worked with businesses from a variety of industries, including manufacturing, transportation, software, construction, telecommunications, and professional services.

Professional Associations and Activities

Katie is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and Club Entrepreneur.

Katie is currently serving on the board of commissioners for the City of Plymouth’s Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA). This is a five-year, City Council-appointed position. The HRA manages the city’s housing and community development programs, and federal, state, and local grants for housing programs.

Education

Katie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
